We spent a LONG time working on our history timeline today! We started with creation, added Adam and Eve, Jubal and Tubal-Cain, and finally Noah! I think the boys did a GREAT job! And thank you so much to Ay-ee for all her help!

After spending the afternoon celebrating Cora Jane’s birthday, we headed to Aunt Lindsey’s to celebrate the big SIX-O with Papa! 60 candles make a BIG fire!!!

Today we celebrated Cora Jane’s 9th birthday! The boys spent the afternoon at Grandma & Da’s swimming and eating! What a great way to celebrate!

The old Bacon Theatre was renovated and re-opened over the summer but tonight was the first chance we had to visit. Friday night at the movies in ALMA and it was awesome! Tickets were $6 each and nothing in the concession stand was more than $2! But the best part was the small town atmosphere inside the theatre. I knew almost everyone in the theatre. And if I needed to get up and walk out to the concession stand or restroom, I was very much at ease leaving the boys sitting in our seats alone.
Oh, and Ice Age 4? Was. Awesome!

We are lovin’ our history curriculum, The Mystery of History! Today’s lesson challenged us to create a completely unique animal from play dough. The boys played for an hour and quickly realized that creating animals that could move, eat, and defend itself wasn’t an easy job! And we had a great discussion about God’s creation and imaginative He is!

Tonight Phil and the boys headed out to Grandma & Da’s for some family fun and yummy supper. I was in a (rare) cleaning mood so I stayed home and took advantage of the quiet, empty house. The boys had a blast jumping hay bales with their cousins. They talked about it non-stop once they got home. Thank you to my sister in law for the fabulous photo!

Apparently we have our first pet for our new home. A pure white rabbit has been spotted several times now. Today he was munching on fallen pears when the boys tried to sneak up on him. But they weren’t quiet enough.
