Today I was having trouble finding my joy.  Both boys had bad days at school.  J was being excessively whiney.  I was in a bad mood and ready to get home and put the boys to bed.  Then on the way home, I looked in the rearview mirror.  And saw the boys in their crowns.  Laughing and having fun.  Being sweet.  Being loving.  And.  I found my joy!

On January 1st, our pastor challenged each person in the congregation to read the Bible all the way through in 2012.  A generous donor helped make this challenge a bit easier by donating one year Bibles for each family in our church.  Trey has taken up the challenge and reads his daily selections from the Old Testament, the New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs each night.  Day nine and he’s going strong.  He is such an inspiration to me…

This one woke up about 4:15 a.m. this morning.  And he would not/could not go back to sleep!  So I should not have been surprised when I looked into the review mirror on the way home and saw this…

Yes, it’s January 3rd,  And yes, I still have my Christmas decorations up.  I have NEVER had my decorations up past December 31st.  Well, except for my Willow Tree Nativity.  Which has been on display in my living room for 13 months straight now.  Sigh…

And that’s my dear hubby.  He’s dear this week.  Cause last week he was in a fire.  And burned both arms.  I’m thankful he wasn’t injured worse.  Cause I don’t even want to think about what could’ve been.  And I’m thankful that he’s mending well.  See there…his left arm is slowly becoming bandage free.  Praise the Lord!
