This morning I was playing with Jesse. Nothing unusual until I went to stand up. And then I was in a tremendous amount of pain. So I spent the day lying flat on my back with the heating pad. Staring at the ceiling for the most part. And extremely thankful for my hubby and boys who took great care of me!

We had so much fun today at Uncle Kirby & Aunt Dot’s Memorial Day Celebration! Watching the next generation play and enjoy each other’s company brought back so many memories from my own childhood. It was hard to choose a photo or even two from the multitude that I took today, but this first one is one of my favorites.
And the boys’ day would not be complete without getting wet!

Honor’s Day for my big boy…Principal’s List, and awards for having a 100 average for the year in math, history, spelling, science, and Bible, as well as the Most Curious Student award and a superior rating in watercolor painting at the GACS Fine Arts Festival. I’m so proud of the young man that he is becoming.

This humongous beach ball is the best pool toy ever! So many funny photos & videos from our lazy afternoon by the pool…
Jesse also lost his first tooth today! He was so ready to finally lose his first tooth that when Aunt Lindsey said she’d pull it he didn’t hesitate. He hurried over, opened up wide, and never even whimpered!

Jesse’s class has been enjoying a special week themed around Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Today they enjoyed a snack of caterpillar cake. Yum!

One of our major fundraisers at school each year is a Christmas card (& wrapping paper & candy) sale. Today the students who sold at least 10 items were rewarded with a trip to the bowling alley. Oh what a fun time we had!
